Today we dived into a process to hopefully help with the Stimulus Based multiple choice questions. Hopefully, you are starting to develop a strategy for these questions. We then had a Type 2 and got into a reading discussed. I've attached tonight's homework
Today in class we started with a quick Chapter 30 notebook check and discussed. We then had a practice blind 15 minute DBQ period. Students filled out a preparation sheet as if they were going to write the essay. After the 15 minutes, students moved into groups to discuss the documents and their analysis.
There will be Chapter 32 pages for Monday. See you tomorrow. Today we finished our notes on the 1920s and started a video on the Scopes Trial which we will finish tomorrow. Remember that 702-712 should be read by tomorrow and you will have a Type 2 on those pages.
Class time today was spent writing DBQ #3. Afterwards, there was a quick Chapter 29 Notebook Check. 692-702 should be read by Monday. Have a great weekend!
Today's class started with the second half of presentations. We followed with a Type 2 and reading discussion and then the rest of the class was preparation time for tomorrow's DBQ.
Chapter 29 needs to be finished by Friday. See you tomorrow. Today in class, students were placed in groups and assigned one of the issues of the Progressive movement. They had to put together a brief presentation arguing that their issues was the most urgent one of the time period.
We started presentations today and will finish tomorrow. Remember that you have pages due tomorrow. You will have a Type 2. Today's class started by watching the rest of the Presidents video on Teddy Roosevelt and we watched Taft as well. These gave a nice overview of both Progressivism and the foreign policy of Roosevelt.
After discussing the end of the chapter, students then analyzed documents 2-6 on Thursday's DBQ. You need to put in work on your own this week to get ready for Thursday. 663-673 should be read by Wednesday. Plan on a Type 2. Today's class started with a Type 2, Notebook Check, and a discussion of the end of the chapter. I then gave a lecture which was an introduction to the Progressive Era. The slides are included below if you were gone. 638-651 needs to be read by Friday.
Today's class started with a discussion of Frederick Jackson Turner's essay on the importance of the frontier. We then had a Chapter 26 Notebook Check and discussed the struggles of farmers. We finished class with a short video on the events of the McKinley presidency.
607-617 should be read by tomorrow. Plan on a Type 2. |
