Chapter Outline Activity

9/11/2014

The bulk of today was spent working in groups on a chapter outline activity.  Each group was responsible for part of the text, decide what was most important, and place that information in an outline.  Tomorrow, students will present their outlines. My hope is that this activity will help those that are struggling with the text up to this point.

Don't forget that the article questions are due tomorrow.  See you then!

Today students got into groups and examined documents that explore the differences in development of the New England and Chesapeake regions during the colonial period.  The main focus was analyzing the documents and placing them in an outline as if this were an essay that they would eventually write (which it is not).

Also, the article, From these Beginnings  was pass out.  It is to be read with the questions answered by Friday.  Also, the following pages from the textbook are to be read by Thursday.

1st/2nd Period - 33-42
5th Period - 33-42
