Today we started in on the Progressive Movement. We had a quick Type 2 over the weekend reading and then took some notes. I've included the notes below. Remember, you are supposed to have the chapter finished by tomorrow. I've included the review sheet for Chapter 22 as well. See you tomorrow.
Remember that you need to get right into the reading of the next chapter. The assigned pages for the weekend are as follows:
1st Period - 639-652 5th Period - 627-639
Wow, didn't see this one coming, it really is going to make the end of this week tough. So tomorrow we'll review for the Chapter 20/21 test, which is pushed back to Thursday. The FRQ is still on Friday. Fifth period has the pep assembly on Thursday so we're going to have to get a little creative to get this test in. I'll talk about it in class tomorrow.
I would make sure you get some work in for Friday's FRQ, there's not going to be much class time to work on it. Today we focused on the expansion of U.S. foreign policy at the turn of the century and got in some work for Friday's FRQ. Remember that you should have Chapter 21 finished by tomorrow. We'll review over the past two chapter tomorrow in preparation for Wednesday's test.
Today we went over the Chapter 18/19 test and took notes on the Gilded Age. I've included the PowerPoint below. The assigned readings for tonight is as follows: 1st Period - 593-601 5th Period - 583-590
Today, students took the Chapter 18/19 Test and then began assigned readings for Chapter 20. As we embark on a two chapter week, the reading load will pick up a bit, but should still be manageable. The reading homework for tonight is as follows:
1st Period - 583-593 5th Period - 573-583 Today we spent most of the time reviewing Chapter 19, I then took questions on Chapter 18. Tomorrow's test is 50 questions, with 5 options for each question. After tomorrow's test, you will need to get right into reading Chapter 20.
See you tomorrow. Today students wrote on the collapse of compromise from 1820-1860. Remember that you need to have Chapter 19 finished by Monday. Also, I am planning on staying after school to provide extra help for Tuesday's test over Chapter 18/19.
Have a great weekend. |
