Class time was spent today on a class debate of Federalists vs. Anti-Federalists/Democratic-Republicans. All three classes did a great job and hopefully the activity helped everyone understand the different ideas of the time a bit better.

Today's class started with a quick Type 2 and a discussion of Hamilton's economic vision and the creation of the federal court system through the Judiciary Act of 1789. We then watched a short video on George Washington's presidency that gave an over view of the time period. We then finished by discussing how to appropriately integrate documents into Friday's essay and all future DBQs. The example we looked at today is included below.
Today's class was spend analyzing the documents for Friday's DBQ. The reading homework for tomorrow is pages 182-186.
Today's class was spent on the Chapters 6-8 Test and then working on Chapter 9 Readings. By Thursday, you need to be up to page 169. Plan on a Type 2.

Today in class groups wrote a thesis based on the French/Indian War DBQ. We then talked about the military advantages/disadvantages of both England and the American Colonies during the Revolutionary War. We finished by having a discussion on what (outside of the French/Indian War) should be considered the turning point leading up to the War. The course code for the online resources for the book is MTTP-RZQP-52TW Make sure you keep up with your readings, plan on a Type 2 tomorrow. After a quick Type 2 on assigned readings, today's class was spent finishing our analysis of the documents on the significance of the French/Indian War. Groups then wrote a thesis on the essay which were shared with the class. I've included the instructions on how to set up online access to your textbook below. Access codes were given out in class today.
