Class time was spent on the Chapter 16/17 Test. Students had any remaining time to work on the Chapter 18 Guided Reading.
By Friday, pages 381-391 should be read. Today's class was spent reviewing for tomorrow's test. Copy and paste the URL if you want to take a look at it.
https://play.kahoot.it/#/k/20008411-154b-4b6d-b463-cb5b2f78f9ad Today's class was spent discussing the documents from the 2009 DBQ. Groups then wrote a thesis. We ran out of time so the Chapter 16 notebook check was pushed until tomorrow.
Remember that the Chapter 17 Guided Reading should be done by Monday. We started class today by watching 10-15 minutes of President Bush's funeral. We then had a Type 2 over assigned readings and discussed Chapter 16 up to this point. Student's were then put into groups and assigned 1 document to analyze from the 2009 DBQ. Students will share their analysis with the class tomorrow.
Remember that Chapter 16 need to be done tomorrow and we will have a notebook check. Today we did all of the usual fun first day of a new trimester stuff (seats, papers back, went over the exam). We then discussed a couple different images and the artist's intention in their depiction of slavery.
