So this week will be a little different. As I mentioned last week, I am proctoring an exam all morning tomorrow, but I'll be done by 5th period. Then on Tuesday, I'll be out of the building all day. So 1st/2nd periods will have subs the next two days and 5th period will have a sub on Tuesday.
I've decided to hold off on Selma until Wednesday. I want to make sure we're all on the same page as far as the expectations for watching films in class and, given that this will likely be the Norrix premiere of this movie, I want to be there. I don't really like leaving movies for subs to show.
So each of the next two days I'll have a reading for you to do in class along with some questions to answer. Tomorrow's reading looks toward the future and what challenges the United States faces in the 21st century. I think you'll find it interesting. I'll post a quick summary of Tuesday's reading tomorrow. The questions you answer will be for points and Tuesday's assignment may even involve some extra credit. Between the two of them, you'll be looking at 40 points. As I've mentioned, if you put in the effort, these should be relatively easy points to earn.
Then we'll watch Selma on Wednesday and Thursday and we should plan on the food day on Friday. Toward the end of the week, I'll also talk about your final project. A reminder, there is not a Trimester 3 final. You took your last U.S. History test for the year (and maybe for your entire life) on Friday.
Have a good couple of days and I'll see 1st/2nd period on Wednesday.
