I told you we'd have some sick days. :)
No, I didn't see this coming but hopefully you're enjoying this unexpected four day weekend. But the grind doesn't stop. Whether we have school or not, the APUSH exam is May 11th and I have the timeline to tackle the rest of our chapters planned out for the year.
The pages for Friday were 512-522. I'll keep those as the pages for Monday because if I give a Type 2 beyond that I inevitably will get complaints that the change wasn't known. However, the entire chapter, and the guided reading, needs to be done by Tuesday. That will only give us two days to discuss and work with some important content but that's how it goes sometimes when we have these unexpected days off. And who knows, this might be it for days off this year or we may have more. If we do have anymore days off, please understand that we will have to push our Food Day Celebration to after the AP exam.
The main schedule change that results from this time off is rather than have than have DBQ #3 on Friday 2/9, we will push it to Monday 2/12. Friday would not have worked anyway because there is a pep assembly 5th period. Next week is Spirit Week, Monday is Movie Star/Famous person day.
So rest and recharge but don't be afraid to work a little bit the next couple of days. I brought home my grading so everything I have will be in your grade by the end of the weekend. See you Monday.
