Today's class started with some specific feedback from the last DBQ. I've included the slides below. We then had two Type 2's over the reading from break. We finished with an activity where students were asked to analyze what they thought was the most influential in creating sectional conflict. Students then moved to a part of the room for their event and we discussed how each influenced sectional discord during the 1850s. Here are the results from all three classes combined:

I'm with the Kansas-Nebraska folks on this one. This was an event that destroyed the political system in the United States (bye bye Whigs) and unleashed the potential for violence to come about as a result of the different views on slavery.
