Today we spent the bulk of class reading/discussing South Carolina's justification for secession and an excerpt from Lincoln's first inaugural address. In these readings, we see the fundamentally different views on the nature of Union in the North and South.
After working through these documents, we had a quick Type 2 from the assigned readings from Chapter 15. At the end of class, I handed out study questions for Chapter 15 that we'll use on Monday to work through the important concepts in Chapter 15. I've included a copy below.
