Despite the fact that much of the country now resembles the remote planet of Hoth, it looks like will be back in school on Wednesday. I've made the adjustments to the schedule and put the test dates for January in the calendar. The main thing you might notice is that the Ch. 15/16th test (originally scheduled for 1/14, has been pushed back to 1/21. It was going to be a grind to get through the Civil War/Reconstruction as it was, with these two days gone, there's no way we can do these chapters justice and be ready to test on the 14th.
Ultimately, we'll need to have a two chapter week to make up for these days. It will be after spring break. And while we certainly will have our food day at some point, the likelihood at this point is that it won't be until after the AP Exam. That's what ended up happening last year. I think it's safe to say that tomorrow might not be this winter's last snow day so I doubt we'll be able to have a food day with everything else we need to do before the exam. That's the price we have to pay for these extra two days off. But make no mistake, we certainly will have a food day where we celebrate your efforts during the food drive.
For Wednesday, remember to have your 10% summary of the John Brown article done and the first part of Chapter 15 read. I'll also hand back your DBQs on Wednesday. Everything I have is graded and in Pinnacle.
