This part of the website is where I will post a small summary of what we did in class. It will be especially useful if you are absent or need a reminder of what the assigned reading might be or need another copy of a handout.
Today in class we started with a quick Type 1 writing assignment where students explained why they chose to take AP U.S. History. You will see this piece of paper again at some point this year.
We then discussed why Period 1 starts with 1491 along with looking at the AP History Disciplinary Practices and Reasoning Skills. Finally, we read and discussed two primary sources relevant to the different 16th century attitudes towards Native Americans.
Remember that your first Type 2 reading quiz is tomorrow, you are responsible for pages 4-14.
